Cityboy Americana
Based in New York, Flores de Oro was founded in 2026 under the ethos of Cityboy Americana.
A term coined by Popeye magazine, a cityboy is anyone who finds energy in city life.
Contrary to what the name implies, a cityboy lifestyle is an ageless, genderless way of moving through the world that's built on editing what you wear down to what the day actually demands.
Building off this ideology, we design American classics reinterpreted for work and play in the city.
Philosophy
Intrinsic within the philosophy of Cityboy Americana is the belief that American culture has always been at its best when reinterpreted.
We've observed this happening throughout the course of American history—across fashion, sports, film, music, arts, and literature.
Absorbed, adapted, and reshaped by new perspectives, into something more beautiful and diverse.
If reinterpretation is America's oldest tradition, we're just doing our part.
Founders
Flores de Oro was founded by two childhood friends, Raymond and Ryan.
The name comes from a street in the Los Angeles suburbs where they grew up, meaning "flowers of gold" in Spanish.
Where you find flowers and gold, you find evidence of a human life.
Gold that endures forever, flowers that remind you nothing does. Each beautiful in their own way, both have carried the weight of human experience as faithful stewards of the moments that matter most.
Everything we make is built to hold that same tension.
Made to last, but designed for the present moment.
